The PhD program offered by the African School of Economics will provide a North American type doctoral training for students who successfully completed their MMES, MBA or MPA (regular track) but will also accept candidates coming from other programs who already hold a Master Degree (fast track).

ASE PhD program in Economics, set to start in the Academic Year 2016-17, will be covered in five years, with two years of course work and three years devoted to dissertation writing (regular track).

ASE's doctoral program has two main objectives:

  1. Training students to produce innovative, rigorous, and relevant research
  2. Helping students to become exemplary teachers at top-tier higher education institutions
