Markus Olapade is an Assistant Professor at the African School of Economics and the Managing Director of the Institute for Empirical Research in Political Economics. Markus received undergraduate and graduate training in Economics from the Georgia-Augusta University Göttingen (Germany) and University Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne (Paris School of Economics). He obtained his Ph. D. in Economics from the University of Mannheim, Germany. His current research centers on education in Africa (see here, here and here), issues in agricultural development (here) and micro insurance (here). You can find more info on his work here. Markus teaches econometrics for impact evaluation at ASE and coordinates the school’s certificate course in Impact Evaluation of Public Policies for practitioners. He sits on the executive committee of Afrobarometer and is affiliated with 3ie and the C4ED.
