Applying for financial aid is simple. At the same time as you apply for admission to your graduate program of choice, you should also fill out a financial aid application and submit all supporting documents to us. We also encourage you to seek outside sources of funding for your studies at the African School of Economics. If you're receiving an external scholarship, please inform the university. Before a financial aid award can be made, you must first be accepted to ASE. However, the application for financial aid and any supporting documents will in no way affect the admissions decision. Once we have reviewed your information and determined your demonstrated need, you will be notified of your award for the coming year.

Once you have been awarded financial aid from the university, you must accept your award by confirming your attendance and completing all the steps in the confirmation process. Please pay attention to dates on the financial aid award letter as it may be different from other admission deadlines. The official award is final, but in very special cases you may request a re-evaluation of your file by submitting a written appeal. The amount in your award letter is for a full-time course schedule. Should your credit load decrease in future semesters, your financial aid award will change.
