About The Programme
The Leonard Wantchekon School of Advanced Studies, a division of the African School of Economics in Gudu, Abuja, is a Pan-African center of excellence committed to preparing students for seamless entry into university through a specialized Direct Entry programme. The school offers an intensive three-semester blended academic curriculum designed for candidates who may not have met the traditional UTME cut-off mark but are determined to pursue higher education.
During the programme, students are immersed in a rich learning environment that equips them with foundational knowledge and practical skills relevant to their preferred course of study. With a strong emphasis on academic readiness and intellectual development, the school bridges the gap between secondary education and university-level expectations.
Prospective students must possess a minimum of five (5) credits in English, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects from WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, IGCSE, or their equivalents, obtained in no more than two sittings. The programme also welcomes students who scored below 150 in UTME but seek to gain university admission through the Direct Entry window.
